Symptoms of a broken arm include pain, swelling, bruising, soreness and/or tenderness.

Deformity of the injured arm is common as well as limitations in mobility and numbness of the hand or arm. If the fracture is severe enough, such as a compound fracture, there will be visible pieces of bone that emerge through the skin.
